Valentine special recipe ♥ Strawberry no-bake cheesecake \(✿^‿^✿)/ so easy to make! yet so classy and tasty♥

STRAWBERRY NO-BAKE CHEESECAKE

    Valentine's is coming very soon and i would like to post some recipes which all of you can make for your special ones on this very special upcoming event. For the first valentine-inspired recipe, I will give you a strawberry cheesecake recipe, Which is a no-bake one. Meaning you don't have to bake them in the oven. Tools you'll need are only a mixer,a cake pan and chiller. It's so easy and simple to make,if you follow the steps and have all the complete ingredients, i guarantee you a fool-proof result even for those who never bakes a cake before. This recipe is really worth a try, It's classy and tasty,yet so easy to make. Let's try making them for your loved ones ^^ .
   Actually i almost never decorate my cakes before,as i only made them for my family. But for this Valentine theme recipe, I decided to decorate it a bit. I just simply use some strawberries and arranged them into a Sakura shaped decoration (as i like Sakura so much). for the middle part, i used some chopped mandarin orange ( i removed the skin and chopped them into fine pieces),some mint leaves to make it more vibrant and colorful and for the last touch, i pour some clear-colored jelly/agar-agar to make it looks glossy and help the decoration to stick in shape and stay fresh for a longer time.

Resep Earl grey chiffon cake (>‿◠)✌ Aromanya relaxing bgt!

EARL GREY CHIFFON CAKE

portion : 1 pan of cake + 2 small cup of cakes ( i use Taiwan's small chiffon cake mold )
Level : Intermediate 
     A chiffon cake is a very light cake made with vegetable oil, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and flavorings. It is a combination of both batter and foam type (sponge type) cakes.
Instead of the traditional cake ingredient butter, vegetable oil is used; but this is difficult to beat enough air into. Therefore chiffon cakes, like angel cakes and other foam cakes, achieve a fluffy texture by beating egg whites until stiff and folding them into the cake batter before baking. Its aeration properties rely on both the quality of the meringue and the chemical leaveners. Its oil-based batter is initially blended before folding into the meringue.

LEMPER GORENG/FRIED LEMPER
(shredded coconut chicken wrapped in coconut glutinous rice)

( Usually lemper is wrapped in banana leaves,I couldn't find one,so i modify it by using panko bread crumbs and fried them in cooking oil)
      Lemper (sometimes lemper ayam) is an Indonesian dish made of glutinous rice filled with chicken, fish or abon (meat floss). The meat filling is rolled inside the rice, in a fashion similar to an egg roll; this is in turn rolled and wrapped inside a banana leaf, oil paper, plastic sheet or tinfoil to make a packet ready for serving. Lemper are most often seen as snacks, but may sometimes be served as appetizers as well.

Resep Nasi uduk! super wangi dan legit ٩(^◡^ )♥

NASI UDUK/COCONUT RICE

      Nasi uduk is an Indonesian style steamed rice cooked in coconut milk dish originally from Jakarta,which can be widely found across the country. ( In Malaysia they also have a similar type of rice which is called as 'Nasi lemak'). 
     Nasi uduk literally means "mixed rice" in Betawi dialect, related with Indonesian term aduk ("mix"). The name describes the dish preparation itself which requires more ingredients than common steamed rice cooking and also varieties of additional side dishes.
    Nasi uduk is made by cooking rice soaked in coconut milk instead of water, along with clove, cassia bark, and lemongrass to add aroma. Sometimes knotted pandan leaves are thrown into the rice while steaming to give it more fragrance. The coconut milk and spices gave oily rich tastes to the cooked rice. The bawang goreng (fried shallots) sprinkled on the top of the rice prior to serving. Assortments of dishes are usually served as side dishes. AYAM GORENG KREMES

      "The spice mixture may vary among regions, but usually it consists of a combination of ground shallot, garlic, Indian bay leaves, turmeric, lemongrass, tamarind juice, candlenut, galangal, salt and sugar. The chicken pieces are soaked and marinated in spice mixture for some time prior to frying, in order for the chicken to absorb the spices. The chicken is then deep fried in an ample amount of hot coconut oil. Ayam goreng is usually served with steamed rice, sambal terasi (chili with shrimp paste) or sambal kecap (sliced chili and shallot in sweet soy sauce) as a dipping sauce or condiment and slices of cucumber and tomato for garnish.      There are many variants of fried chicken in Indonesia. But one of the most popular is Ayam kremes (also my favourite). In Indonesian, Ayam means chicken and kremes means crunch. Ayam kremes is a traditional Indonesian style Fried chicken served with crispy granules from the left-over of the chicken stocks and spices (from boiling the chicken),mixed with water, flour and egg, then deep fried in hot oil. Usually, Ayam kremes is served with 'nasi uduk' ( recipe here ) and 'sambal terasi' (chilli sauce with shrimp paste) as it's compliments. And most Indonesian always love to enjoy this meal with a cup of tea ( either iced or hot, either sweet or plain ).

cookies sagu keju ^_^ super renyah dan meleleh dimulut..

SAGO CHEESE COOKIES

      Sago cheese cookie is a modernized 'kue bangkit', an Indonesian traditional cookies which are mainly made of Sago flour ( you can also use tapioca flour ) and coconut milk. But unlike their 'ancestor', Sago cheese cookie contains butter and cheese in the mixture. Usually these cookies are served on special occasions like Hari raya idul fitri, Chinese new year or Christmas. 

      Sago cheese cookies and kue bangkit has a nice strong coconut milk aroma. When you bite them, it will melts right away in your mouth. Once you tried them out, you wouldn't wanna stop. Yes,this is a very addictive type of cookie. My mom could finish one full jar in just one day! (Lucky for her ٩(˘◡˘)۶, I can make one for her every time she craves for one). For those who haven't tried this cookie before, i recommend you to try making them ^^ (You'll know why she could be so addicted to it).

Resep bolu kukus susu tanpa air soda \(✿^‿^✿) / So fluffy & tasty!

BOLU KUKUS SUSU / MILK STEAM CAKE

   Bolu kukus is a traditional Indonesian steam cake. It has a signature 'bloom and crack' shape on the upper part of the cake, which is unexpectedly not very easy to achieve. You might have to try several times before achieving successfully 'bloomed and cracked' cakes. Usually this cake is made with soda water such as Sprite/Fanta.(You can find recipe here).

    But in this post i will give you a recipe which will substitute the use of soda water with milk.Milk is a healthier option for those who would like to skip soda water in their daily menus.So for those who want to make this cake without using soda water, please feel free to try out this recipe ^_^

Homemade Yakiudon ala restoran Jepang ٩(˘◡˘ )♥ enak dan super kenyal!

     I have been writing some posts about Indonesian food and i think why not i change a little atmosphere by making a post about Japanese stir-fried udon (yakiudon) with the noodles made from scratch.
    You can easily find udon noodles in almost any grocery store in Jakarta now. But the thing that makes cooking a little more challenging is how you can make everything from scratch. How you can transform wheat flour ,salt and water into a delicious chewy noodles that is so tender and fresh. No whitening or any unwanted chemical substances, and most of all ,It is preservatives-free. 
      This homemade noodles has a slightly different texture with the one bought in stores. It has a more chewy texture , and the color is a bit yellowish. Not as pale and white as those store bought udon. And you can adjust the thickness of the noodles yourself. It's a bit time consuming but once you have made it, you will know it is worth it. Resep bolu kukus mekar merekah (✿◠‿◠) / So fluffy & tasty!

BOLU KUKUS / STEAM CAKE

   Bolu yang satu ini sudah tidak asing lagi bagi kita orang Indonesia. Bolu yang sangat banyak dijumpai di pasar-pasar tradisional maupun toko-toko kue ini tergolong murah, Namun sangat enak dan lembut untuk dimakan. Biasanya dijual dalam berbagai ukuran ,warna dan rasa, Mulai dari coklat, moka hingga pandan ataupun strawberry.  Penampilan bolu yang terbuat dari minuman ber-soda ini terlihat sangat sederhana. Namun dibalik bentuknya yang sederhana ini tersimpan tantangan yang sangat besar dalam proses pembuatannya.

    Untuk membuat bolu ini dapat mekar merekah, perlu teknik dan pengalaman yang baik dalam mengolah adonannya. Karena bila terjadi kesalahan proses pembuatannya (terutama pada teknik pengadukan tepung dan soda kedalam adonan telur) hasilnya bolu bantat,tidak akan mekar sempurna, retak dua atau bahkan tidak mekar sama sekali. Tetapi jika sudah mendapatkan 'celah' dalam teknik pembuatannya, membuat bolu ini akan jadi sangat menyenangkan. Terutama ketika kita membuka tutup kukusan dan melihat semua bolu kukus mekar merata, Duh! senang dan puas sekali ^__^

    Untuk yang masih belum bisa membuat bolu ini mekar merekah, jangan patah semangat ya. (Aku sendiri percobaan ke-3 baru berhasil ). Latihan dan 'kepatuhan' dalam mengikuti cara yang dianjurkan akan membantu anda untuk membuat bolu yang mekar dengan sempurna. Pastikan untuk tidak merubah cara dan step-step pembuatannya dan pastikan tidak memodifikasi resep sampai kalian telah menemukan cara tepat untuk membuat bolu ini. Selamat mencoba ;)

Resep Bolu jadul / bolu bahulu super enak dan wangi..mengingatkan kita pada cita rasa jadul yang tak tergantikan!

BOLU JADUL / BAHULU CAKE / BOLU KLEMBEN / BOLU CERMAI / BOLU KERING

porsi :12 pcs (dengan loyang takoyaki Uk.@2.5 x 1.5cm) / 7-8pcs (dengan loyang kue cubit)

( Umumnya berbentuk bunga / oval, Tapi karena belum punya cetakannya, 
maklum ya aku pakai loyang takoyaki lagi ^^ )
     
  Bolu Jadul , begitu aku selalu menyebutnya. Karena bolu ini sudah ada sejak lama dan sudah kumakan sejak masih kecil. Biasanya bolu ini banyak dijumpai di pasar-pasar tradisional (walaupun sekarang sudah agak jarang ditemui lagi). Bentuknya bermacam-macam , ada yang berbentuk ikan, oval, bunga, dsb. Bolu ini adalah kue khas melayu dan biasanya disebut bolu cermai, Bolu klemben biasa disebut oleh orang Jawa, atau yang biasa disebut oleh orang Malaysia dengan sebutan bolu Bahulu. Bolu ini adalah salah satu makanan favoritku yang selalu bisa bikin kangen disaat-saat ingin ber-nostalgia. Walaupun teksturnya agak kasar (karena bolu ini tidak mengandung butter / margarin), tetapi sangat enak dan memiliki wangi yang sangat khas. Rasanya yang light dan bentuknya yang kecil membuatnya enak untuk dijadikan cemilan. 

     Selain biasanya dijual dengan tekstur bolu, Ada pula yang menjual bolu ini dengan tekstur kering / lebih menyerupai cookies yang biasa disebut bolu kering . Dalam bentuk bolu, kue ini bisa bertahan selama 4-5hari , Sedangkan dalam bentuk kering, bisa bertahan hingga 1 bulan. 

     Menurutku resep ini sudah sangat mirip dengan yang dijual di pasar-pasar tradisional. Sangat wangi dan enak sekali. Semoga dengan adanya resep ini, bagi kalian yang lagi kangen / ingin ber-nostalgia dengan kue jadul ini, bisa terbayarkan dan rasanya sesuai selera ya (>‿◠)✌ selamat mencoba.

Resep kue Pukis anti gagal ala Abang-abang :) sangat enak dan kenyal !

     "Berbagi itu indah", itulah yang kudengar dari seseorang yang menginspirasiku untuk membuat blog ini. siapa lagi kalau bukan ci Vita Citra ^^ . Posting pertamaku juga terinspirasi dari ci Vita, yaitu kue pukis yang super enak dan kenyal ini. Rasanya bener-bener sudah persis seperti yang dijual di lapak abang-abang.


      Resep ci Vita Citra sudah jaminan mutu anti gagal. karena dia selalu eksperimen sampai berhasil enak dan bagus baru di post ke blog. Seperti resep pukis ini adalah resep ciptaan ci Vita sendiri hasil eksperimen googling resep pukis mulai dari yang mirip bolu sampai bantat. Akhirnya tercipta resep yang bagus dan mendekati sempurna ini deh. salut banget ^^. Mari dicoba resepnya.





(Berhubung loyang takoyaki-ku ini dilapisi teflon,jadinya tidak perlu pakai minyak untuk mengoles lagi.)
